i think one of the best ways to elevate a simple meal is to change up the texture. one of my most Basicest most Simple most easy and safe meals i like to indulge in is a turkey and cheese sandwich with a little bit of mayo on multi grain (gluten free bc im ALLERGIC) bread. my most FAVORITEST way to enjoy this otherwise bland and abnormally simple dish is to toast the bread. it is such an EASY and simple way to raise the enjoyment level of one of the meals i eat probably the most (bc easy to make and easy to have stuff for)

anyways, i just mean to say that toasting bread is such an easy way to turn an otherwise bland Britishcore meal into a yummy crunchy delight ! i love toasted bread, and idk how people have sandwiches without toasting the bread. anyways, if you can get a toaster, DO IT !!! so worth it. every time i crunch into a piece of toasted bread i feel like there are birds singing outside. this has become a big thing online recently (or i guess not rly recently), but an excellent beverage really makes my day !! normally i get like a chai latte or chocolate cream cold brew, but lately ive been getting a hazelnut oatmilk shaken espresso and it was SO GOOD !! anyways, back to the main point. having a little bit of sweetness in my day really just brings me so much joy. especially a little drink, something i can enjoy while doing something else. it doesnt make my hands dirty, it doesnt ruin my appetite for dinner or anything, and it honestly doesnt ruin my sleep if i have one a little before bed !

being able to break up the monotony of my day to day, which tends to be very VERY formulaic and routine, just brings me so much joy. it allows me to enjoy whatever situation im in just a little bit more because i get a little yummy drink :)

although i've never received letters often, i always loved them ! additionally, whenever I buy soemthing online and am greeted with a package in the mail with my name on the front, my heart skips a beat ! first, ill talk about the letters. letters obviously have a handcrafted quality, being often handwritten. additionally, in the age of the Internet, writing letters seems so much more personal than sending a message. i supposed its about the time it takes to send, so you have to be much more meaningful with what you want to say. plus, i always loved the handwritten aspect. even birthday cards make me happy to read, because this person took the time to put their heart into a message for Me on my Special Day !! just kinda cool

i think the packages is just because i like buying things lolol. but i also just like opening things. its a little surprise ! and it just makes me smile to get something ive wanted for a while

i love the feeling of realization, the lightbulb moment when something youve been struggling with suddenly makes sense. when the concept clicks, when the code works, when the writing makes sense. its such a validating moment, a moment where you realize you can do hard things. it always makes my day a little lighter, a little bit better when i have accomplished something ive struggled with forever

whenever i write with like.. an above average writing utensil, i am FILLED WITH JOY. i definitely take it overboard sometimes, but writing with nice utensils and paper and pens and stuff really elevates my experience !!! having good tools definitely helps getting work done. i always feel so much more motivated to do something when its Cute or Comfortable or Easy and nice pens really help me with that ! and the feeling of getting a new pen that youve wanted for a long time OMGGGGGGGG Its just the BEST !

this might just be a me needing validation thing honestly, but oh my goodness it feels so amazing when someone i hold close to my heart tells me how important i am to them !! i love it when people actually appreciate me and Ngl when people just like me LOLZ ! its so validating to hear that someone doesnt think im Annoying As Freak, and that they actually value me as a friend. HUGE thank you to all my irls for always making me feel so appreciated !!
